To mark the release of IT Chapter 2, Warner Brothers wanted to create a stir around the film’s eagerly anticipated release of the sequel.
Out of Home was the chosen medium to ensure they filled the streets of Dublin with an eerie and terrifying OOH advertising campaign.
Working alongside creative agency WTF Creative and media agency OMD, Kinetic was able to bring the terrifying sequel and its clown to life across the capital city, building an eye-catching innovative creative build. The creative build was decorated with the movies signature red balloons. To add to the skin-crawling feel, the red balloons intermittently lit-up and the menacing Pennywise reached out his infamous clown hands preying upon passers-by.
The Out of Home campaign was built on the Golden Square located on Dublin’s Wexford Street. The Campaign used a mix of Classic and Digital OOH formats running across commuter and retail environments – nobody was safe from the creepy clown.
The campaign ran from the 26th August – 8th Sept, perfect timing to build anticipation prior to the movie release date on the 6th September.
